Reinventing the Minivan with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Pine Belt 2 Reinventing the Minivan with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Chrysler is reinventing the minivan with SUV-like style and high-tech features. Additionally, it will be the first-ever hybrid minivan. Chrysler’s first-ever minivan drove off the assembly line in 1983. It quickly became the ideal vehicle to haul children as it offered sliding doors and a spacious cabin. By the early 1990s, over 500,000 Chrysler minivans were being sold each year. The 2000s marked the downfall of minivans in the U.S. market as crossovers became increasingly popular. In 2015, Fiat Chrysler sold less than 200,000 minivans in the United States as sales of the Chrysler Town & Country decreased by 28 percent. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been developed to change all of that around. The minivan was revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. The Pacifica has a sleeker design, lower ground clearance, larger wheels, and more luxurious features. The traditional sliding doors will have no handles and be hands-free. The minivan will be powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 287 horsepower. The hybrid version will have an electric driving range of 30 miles. Pine Belt Chrysler-Jeep is excited to offer our customers the all-new Pacifica.

Sales of Subaru Vehicles are Surpassing All Expectations

Pine Belt 2 Sales of Subaru Vehicles are Surpassing All Expectations

Subaru is having so much success that it is even baffling the automaker’s top executives. Projections are being surpassed and unbelievable sales numbers are being achieved. The 2016 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and WRX/STI are experiencing their best sales ever. In 2015, Subaru of America experienced a sales record of 582,675 vehicles sold, representing a 13.4 percent increase year-over-year. The 2015 sales record represents the seventh straight year the automaker has done so. The success comes from how the automaker has positioned itself within the U.S. market. Subaru offers a niche lineup of all-purpose vehicles that are attracting many active consumers. With the enhancements of the WRX/STI, the automaker is appealing to performance enthusiasts as well. Senior vice president of sales for Subaru America Jeff Walters stated, “We have the right product line-up, strong marketing and a superior retailer network providing us with a solid foundation for future growth.” Although the automaker’s past success is something to be proud of, Subaru is looking towards the future and wants to achieve higher sales numbers than ever before. With new Subaru vehicles arriving in the market within the next few years and no signs of slowing down, Pine Belt Subaru is optimistic regarding the future of the automaker.

2016 Chevrolet Cobalt Heading South Towards Brazilian Market

Pine Belt 2 2016 Chevrolet Cobalt Heading South Towards Brazilian Market

Just because the Chevrolet Cobalt is no longer in the U.S. market, it doesn’t mean that other markets can’t enjoy it. The Brazilian market will be among those consumers that will receive the redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Cobalt. The Cobalt was given a redesign to align with the automaker’s global strategy. The cabin features premium materials (available in Jet Black or Brownstone) with piano black accents, new controls to increase ergonomics, OnStar through the Chevrolet MyLink2 system, smartphone connectivity with Apply CarPlay, and controls that are located on the steering wheel. When choosing a unit to go under the hood of the 2016 Chevrolet Cobalt, buyers can pick between a 1.4-liter four cylinder engine and a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. Whichever unit they choose, both can be mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission. Buyers will be able to choose from various trim levels, with the top-end offering rain-sensing wipers, chrome components, and more. Jeep Renegade Greatly Contributes to Substantial Growth of Automaker

Pine Belt 1 Jeep Renegade Greatly Contributes to Substantial Growth of Automaker

If Jeep continues this kind of growth, the automaker is on pace for a record-setting year. At the end of October, Jeep had already sold 1,013,000 vehicles. With two more months left in the year, the automaker only needs 14,000 more units sold to set the record. As of October and compared to a 2014, Jeep sales globally are up 22 percent and up 24 percent in the U.S. market. Much of the growth is credited to the Jeep Renegade with 45,000 units sold in the U.S. through October. Furthermore, the automaker is optimistic with the future of the brand as it will be introducing the Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV in 2018, a new compact crossover late next year, and most likely a Wrangler pickup. This success couldn’t have come at a better time as the automaker is coming into 2016 preparing to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Pine Belt Chrysler-Jeep is excited for the future of the brand and you can test drive the Jeep Renegade today!

Jeep Experiences Another Record-Setting Year

Pine Belt 1 Jeep Experiences Another Record-Setting Year

It was another great year for Jeep. In fact, it was a record-setting year for the automaker for the fourth year in a row. Jeep has already surpassed its record-setting sales in 2014 of 1,017,019 vehicles. Pine Belt Chrysler-Jeep is highly impressed by those numbers as there is still a month and a half left in the year. Sales were already up 22 percent across the globe heading into November. The best-selling Jeep models through October were the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler. A major part of this growth can be credited to major demand for SUVs in the U.S. market, introduction of the Jeep Renegade into global markets, and establishment of local production in Brazil and China. Jeep has big plans to continue with this growth. By 2018, the automaker wants to produce 1.9 million Jeep models at 10 different assembly plants across six countries.

Subaru Has Big Plans for Future Subaru Crosstreks

Subaru has big plans for the future of the Subaru XV Crosstrek. The first part of the plan is to change the name in the U.S. market, by dropping the “XV” portion when the crossover gets minimal modifications in the near future. The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, which is part of the Subaru’s “Prominence 2020” vision, has been spotted testing in California. Subaru wants to be known as a company that produces high-quality vehicles. In order to meet zero-emissions standards by 2018 and even stricter standards by 2020, Subaru will be developing a plug-in hybrid version of the Crosstrek, as well as enhancing its powertrain technology in gas engines. Pine Belt Subaru in Lakewood is excited for the future of design and quality of the Crosstrek.
