New Jeep Compact Crossover for Indian Market

Pine Belt 2 New Jeep Compact Crossover for Indian Market

Jeep is preparing to introduce a new compact crossover into the Indian market towards the end of this year. In the beginning, the crossover was spotted undergoing testing under a modified Jeep Renegade body. The newest spy shots showcase the crossover testing with its production body. Renderings have indicated that the crossover will have similar design cues as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and it will be one of the automaker’s most globally-designed models ever. Buyers will have the opportunity to choose between a right-hand drive and left-hand drive model, as well as between a 2.0-liter Tigershark petrol engine that delivers 164 horsepower and a 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel engine that generates 170 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, but buyers can opt for a nine-speed automatic transmission. Pine Belt Chrysler-Jeep believes that an American version of the crossover will arrive in 2017.
