Some good things never change. The axiom stands poetically true for the Chevrolet Express Cargo, a passenger van that has served people for the past four decades. With powerful engines and a plenty of space, the van can offer seating to as many as 15 people. The van is meant for big families, sports teams and commercial uses. With its spacious seating facilities and powertrain, this vehicle stands as a true testimony to the conviction that old is gold.

The vehicle is generally sold in 1500, 2500, 3500 models. The 3500 variant offers seating facility to up to 15 passengers. A couple of trim models known as LS and TS are also sold. The LS version is a little plain with only an air-conditioning system and a two-speaker stereo. The LT is a little on the higher end of the spectrum. It has rear air-conditioning, complete carpeting and full power accessories. Consequently, it constitutes the better choice for a family.

The 1500 model comes along with a V8 with a 5.3-liter capacity and 310 horsepower. The 2500 model comes with V8 with a 4.8-liter capacity and 280 horsepower. The 3500 comes with V8 with a 6.6-liter turbodiesel capacity and 260 horsepower. The vans are quite strong and have the capacity to linger on for years together. The van has been able to maintain its popularity and relevance even now.

Enhanced Push-to-Pass Feature for 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series

Pine Belt 2 Enhanced Push-to-Pass Feature for 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series

More power will be seen at the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series as the push-to-pass feature will be getting an increase in available ponies. Drivers activate the feature by pushing a button on the steering wheel. Once activated, the twin-turbocharged 2.2-liter Chevrolet/Ilmor V-6 engine will offer a brief moment of increased boost pressure from 150 kPa to 165 kPa when attempting a pass during the race. Last year the horsepower increased by 20 ponies when the feature was activated, but 60 additional horsepower will be available for the upcoming racing season. IndyCar President of Competition and Operations Jay Frye stated, “This technology update is part of IndyCar’s ongoing initiative to enhance the overall level of competition and excitement even more.” Pine Belt Chevrolet in Lakewood is excited to see how the upgrades will affect the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series.
