Reinventing the Minivan with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Pine Belt 2 Reinventing the Minivan with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Chrysler is reinventing the minivan with SUV-like style and high-tech features. Additionally, it will be the first-ever hybrid minivan. Chrysler’s first-ever minivan drove off the assembly line in 1983. It quickly became the ideal vehicle to haul children as it offered sliding doors and a spacious cabin. By the early 1990s, over 500,000 Chrysler minivans were being sold each year. The 2000s marked the downfall of minivans in the U.S. market as crossovers became increasingly popular. In 2015, Fiat Chrysler sold less than 200,000 minivans in the United States as sales of the Chrysler Town & Country decreased by 28 percent. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been developed to change all of that around. The minivan was revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. The Pacifica has a sleeker design, lower ground clearance, larger wheels, and more luxurious features. The traditional sliding doors will have no handles and be hands-free. The minivan will be powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 287 horsepower. The hybrid version will have an electric driving range of 30 miles. Pine Belt Chrysler-Jeep is excited to offer our customers the all-new Pacifica.
