Four Reasons to Choose Pine Belt Chevrolet

Pine Belt 2 Two Chevrolet B-Segment Cars Coming to Markets

At Pine Belt Chevy, we know there are lot of different dealerships to choose from.  But there are some very good reasons why Pine Belt Chevrolet, the best among Lakewood car dealers, should be your choice.

  • We’re a family-owned and operated dealership that has been serving the Lakewood, Brick and Point Pleasant community since 1937. Think about that. In 2017 we’ll celebrate our 80th anniversary.  That’s 80 years of satisfied customers.  We even have a Pine Belt Rewards Program, that gives you a variety of exciting perks, like free lube, oil and filter changes, members-only service pricing and even priority service scheduling.

  • We’ll do whatever we can to make the purchase a stress-free experience. If you have any questions during the sales process, be sure to ask.  We want to be certain you understand everything about your new vehicle: its warranty, financing options and service recommendations.

  • If your car has to come in for service, we have a free loaner vehicle program. We also offer towing reimbursement coverage!  We also have lost key return service, a personal travel concierge program and more.

  • We’re committed to keeping your car running beautifully mile after mile and year after year. Whether you purchase a pre-owned vehicle or a brand new one, our service experts will get to know your vehicle inside and out.  We’re pros, and we’ll get you back out on the road in no time!

Here’s another great reason to come see us:  The Pine Belt Guarantee.  We’ll beat your best deal on a new or pre-owned #Chevrolet or we’ll pay you $1,000 cash, no questions asked!  We can do that because we constantly scour the available Chevys in the marketplace and see what their value is, and then we price them lower.  You can check out our entire inventory online at www.pinebeltchevrolet.com.

The Basics of Battery Care

shutterstock_306947240

You get in your car to head to a meeting, or to pick up your kid at school.  You go to start the car.  And nothing.  The motor doesn’t turn over.  You’re sitting there with your head racing and you know that your day just took a giant turn for the worse. The good news is  there are steps you can take to be prepared for this, and even avoid it altogether.   And since Pine Belt Chevy is all about helping our customers, here they are.

It’s important to always keep jumper cables in the trunk of your car.  After all, you can’t predict where and when your battery dies.  And don’t assume that someone in the adjacent parking spot is going to have jumper cables. If you have them, it makes it easy for someone to help you.  Now if you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere, having jumper cables may not help, but hopefully you can call for roadside assistance to come to your rescue.

Now, let’s look at jumping the battery.  You need to know how to do it, and feel comfortable doing it.  First, pop your hood and locate your battery. Remove any corrosion you see with a wire brush even battery spray, then wipe it clean.  Next, make sure the folks who are going to jump you have their car turned off.

shutterstock_519507040

Now, the jumper cables are color coded in red and black.  Remove the caps. Place the red clamp on the positive charge of the dead battery and place the other red clamp on the positive charge of the Good Samaritan’s battery.  Then, place the black clamp on the their negative charge and the other black clamp on a piece of metal on your car.  Have the other car start their engine, and then start yours.  It should start right up. Then, carefully remove the black clamps and the red clamps. Make sure you don’t let the black clamps and red clamps touch each other.  Replace the caps and tighten them.

So why did your battery die?  Did you leave your headlights on?  Is your battery getting old?  Most batteries are good for at least three years, but it can vary, depending on mileage and use.  If your battery is older, check your battery’s warranty to see if it can be replaced for free or for a reduced rate. If you need to purchase a new one, we invite you to visit Pine Belt Chevrolet.  Our Service experts can help you replace your battery and get you back out on the road in no time..

So, how can you reduce the likelihood of having a dead battery?  Be sure to check it often and keep it free of corrosion.  Check and see if the caps are on tight.  Keep your records about your battery and warranty with your owner’s manual and keep your receipt.

We hope you’ll come visit #PineBeltChevy and see why we are a premier Chevrolet dealer in NJ.  We’re also a great used car dealership in NJ, in case you’re looking for a great pre-owned vehicle.  To see our inventory online, visit www.pinebeltchevrolet.com.

She’s Back!

shutterstock_306947240

Absent for more than ten years, confirmation finally comes from Chevrolet that the Blazer is returning to the automobile landscape.

It was reported by spy photographers that they caught Chevrolet testing a prototype of an SUV in the midsize range. Also reported was that the new midsize SUV would be called “Blazer” when it began production.

Fox News reported that the Blazer would most likely be a crossover when it makes its comeback and not a truck-based SUV.

Other details about the comeback of the #ChevroletBlazer are still sketchy but it is expected that the comeback will be at one of the auto shows sometime in 2017 for the 2018 model year.

So, we may have to wait a little longer but you can be sure that Pine Belt Chevy, the premier Chevy dealer of Lakewood Car Dealers will certainly make plenty of room for the new Chevrolet Blazer when they arrive more stylish and powerful than ever. For further news on the upcoming arrival of the Chevy Blazer, keep checking our website, www.pinebeltchevrolet.com.

Goin’ Small With Jeep

jeep-logo

Jeep has decided to move into the small SUV category with its lineup. It has been reported that Jeep is looking to introduce a new vehicle into their lineup.

Mike Manley, head of Jeep, explained to Autocar that he believes there is a spot for a small SUV in the future for Jeep. A smaller Jeep will open up competition for Jeep with small SUVs like the Nissan Juke and others that aren’t even marketed in the United States.

The smallest Jeep in the United States is the Renegade. It shares a platform with the small sedan, the Fiat 500X. The Jeep Renegade is a strong selling vehicle because it is available around the world and not just in the United States. The #JeepRenegade is unique because it can switch out among several gearboxes and engines so that it can adapt and compete in different markets around the world. It can be adapted to be driven in different countries around the globe.

At Pine Belt Chrysler Jeep, a premier Lakewood car dealers and used car dealership in NJ, we look forward to a new segment in the Jeep lineup and our inventory. Please continue to watch our website, www.pinebeltchryslerjeep.com for further information on the arrival of a new smaller Renegade Jeep.

It’s Almost Here

jeep-logo-1

Admit it – if you are an off-roading Jeep lover and must own a pickup truck for the daily work, you always wanted a Jeep pickup. The wait is almost over. Jeep has announced the new Jeep Wrangler pickup will be at Lakewood car dealers, in particular, Pine Belt Chrysler Jeep, in 2017.

Information is still sparse but the Jeep Scrambler reportedly has a 3.6 liter variable valve timing V-6 engine mated with a six-speed transmission. It produces 260 horsepower and carryies the rough and tumble off-road suspension Wranglers are known for.

It was previously reported that Jeep would switch the Wrangler to an all aluminum build but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. The #JeepWranglerScrambler will have a traditional chassis with only aluminum panels.

A Toledo, Ohio assembly plant will build the Scrambler, as well as the next-generation Wrangler SUV due out in 2018. Pricing on the Scrambler is said to be in the $40,000 range and at dealerships the first half of 2017. Fingers crossed the roof will be made of removable panels!

Watch our website, www.pinebeltchryslerjeep.com for news as it happens on this long awaited Jeep Wranger Scrambler to hit the showroom floors. And if you can’t wait it out, come on in and peruse through our inventory. We are the largest used car dealership in New Jersey.

Camaro: The Best Gets Better

chevy-camaro-zl1

For 2016, Chevrolet brought us the sixth generation Camaro SS which was the Motor Authority Best Car to Buy for 2016. In 2017, the Best gets Better. Chevy brings us two new stars for those who like to head to the track with their Camaro: the Camaro 1LE and the big boss, Camaro ZL1.

If performance is what you are looking for, the ZL1 is for you. Under the hood is the same 6.2 liter V-8 found in the Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V. With 50 more horses than the fifth gen, The ZLI packs 640 horses and 640 pound-feet of torque. The new Alpha platform sheds 200 pounds off the Camaro. The engine is mated with a six-speed manual transmission or the ZLI is available with a new ten-speed automatic tranie.

When Chevrolet says the #2017CamaroZL1 is the better than the best, they mean it. Other technology that makes driving a lean experience is traction control, launch control, drive mode selector and magnetically controlled shock absorbers for a more adaptive ride.

Just so you can understand the kind of power the ZL1 has, the standard Camaro has a turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-four with 275 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6 liter V-6 has 335 horsepower. The SS has a 6.2 liter V-8 has 455 horses. So, it should be clear that the new ZL1 is not for the faint of heart. Its lap time on the track rivals the 997 Porsche 911 GT2 and GT3.

Are you ready to roll? Come on down to Pine Belt Chevy, a star among Lakewood car dealers, and check out the all new 2017 Camaro ZL1. Don’t worry, the back of the standard Recaro performance seats will keep your eyeballs in their sockets. And be prepared for love when you see the ZL1 Convertible. Check the 2017 Camaro ZL1 on our website, www.pinebeltchevrolet.com.

Subaru: Value Everywhere

Subaru Logo

Buying a vehicle can be confusing as well as nerve wracking. Best advice – stop and think, what are the necessities? You want reliable—check. You want safe—check. With as many perks you don’t have to pay a whole lot of extra to have—check. They call it a Subaru Outback 2.5i Touring.

The Outback comes in six trims: 2.5i, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Touring, the larger 3.6R Limited and 3.6R Touring. Now the fun begins. Which trim is the best bang for your buck? Well, all of them, but let’s say you don’t want too little in your Subaru and you can’t afford to be over the top. Opt for the #Subaru2.5iTouring.

It’s perfect for the small working family that would rather save money than pay for costly and frequent maintenance. The 2.5i Touring gets a nice 32 miles per gallon combined (more on the freeway). It takes regular gasoline,  saving you a few bucks at the pump every month over other SUVs.

The Subaru 2.5i has a comfortable ride that seats five people very comfortably. After folding the rear seats flat, a nice 73.3 cubic feet of cargo space opens up.

The engine is an efficient 2.5 liter, 16-valve, four cylinder with 175 horsepower using variable-valve timing mated with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

As Subaru is known for its safety quotient, standard safety equipment will knock your socks off on the Outback 2.5i Touring: an AWD anti-lock brake system, ventilated front and rear disc brakes, stability and traction control, airbags both side and head. Also standard on the Touring 2.5i that is not on the lower trims, is blind-side monitoring, a rear cross-traffic alert and a pre-collision feature that will apply full braking force in an emergency situation.

Come on into Pine Belt Subaru, your most dedicated Subaru dealer in NJ, and test-drive the Outback 2.5i Touring today. Check us out on the web too, www.pinebeltsubaru.com.

The Incredible Invincible Minivan

chrysler-logo

The incredible, invincible Chrysler minivan. They’ve seen a lot and have been many places. One minivan in particular is owned by a former Delaware Governor and current U.S. Senator, Tom Carper.

Carper drives a Town & Country Chrysler minivan. His admiration for the Town & Country began when he was Governor and the State Patrol would drive him around the state in a Town & Country. When he became a U.S. Senator, Carper decided he didn’t want to give up riding in a Town & Country, so he bought one. That was in 2001 and he drives that same van today. In fact, he’s clocked 437,000 miles on his Chrysler minivan.

When the van turned over to 400,000 miles, Carper took it into the dealership that had kept it on the road through all those miles and a great celebration was held with Carper and the mechanics who cared for his minivan.

chrysler-town-and-country

A Washington politician. One who knows the value in taking great care with something and making it last. That says something about the man. And the Senator.

A Chrysler minivan that has 437,000 miles on it. That says a lot about the genius of Chrysler engineering. They developed the #Chryslerminivan to be tough and to last.

Chrysler service technicians. At Chrysler dealerships across this nation they are making vehicles last. Carper says the longevity of his Chrysler minivan can be credited to changing the oil and servicing the vehicle regularly and getting it a good wash every other week. “If you take care of something, whether it’s a car or a house or even a family, it’s amazing how long they can have a good, long run,” says Senator Carper. He aims to drive his Chrysler minivan for 500,000 miles.

We invite you to bring your vehicle into Pine Belt Chrysler Jeep and let our highly-skilled technicians keep you on the road for as long as you own your vehicle. On our website, www.pinebeltchryslerjeep.com, you can find information for making your next service appointment.
