Jeep CEO Mike Manley confirmed that a brand new Grand Cherokee Hellcat is in the making. The new version is set to be called Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk and is estimated to start production in July 2017. For those unfamiliar with the term, Jeep uses naming terms like TrailHawk for hardcore off-road models. Here is an in-depth look at the car to get you prepared for the launch:
The exterior of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat is similar to that of Charger Hellcat.
Reports suggest that the TrackHawk will be built on the same skeletal system as the Mercedes Benz M-Class. However, the engineers are facing problems protecting the drive-line from the powerful engine’s torque bombs.
The exterior is set to have the 3 signature scoops on the hood and will upgrade to a larger front end for better airflow and cooling.
Other visual changes include bigger wheels and wheel flares, bigger brakes, smoked headlamp glass and a light body kit. All of this will make it comfortable to ride on all terrains.
