Renowned Australian Rally Car driver Molly Taylor has been given the responsibility to handle Subaru’s return to the Australian Rallying scene. Having been recently conferred with the CAMS Peter Brock Medal, Taylor would see through the challenge posed by WRX STI NR4 in the Australian Rally Championship this year.
The car would be prepared for the rally by the rather experienced Les Walkden operation in the Tasman land that has a long record with the Japanese automobile manufacturer.
Taylor, who happens to be the daughter of four time champion co-driver in the Australian Rally Coral Taylor, had bagged the second position in the much-touted ARC last year.
Rallying stalwart and the managing director of Subaru Australia Nick Senior affirmed that Molly Taylor was the perfect representative of the brand and she would be able to fit in as one of the fiercest competitors.
Taylor has been able to steal international limelight through her performances on the circuit. She is rated as one of the top notch woman rally drivers in the world. She is set to face a stiff competition when the heavier WRX is pitted against some of the nimbler and lighter competing vehicles.
Taylor seemed to be very excited at having gotten the opportunity to compete in one of the most awaited competitions in the rallying circuit.
