Subaru has big plans for the future of the Subaru XV Crosstrek. The first part of the plan is to change the name in the U.S. market, by dropping the “XV” portion when the crossover gets minimal modifications in the near future. The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, which is part of the Subaru’s “Prominence 2020” vision, has been spotted testing in California. Subaru wants to be known as a company that produces high-quality vehicles. In order to meet zero-emissions standards by 2018 and even stricter standards by 2020, Subaru will be developing a plug-in hybrid version of the Crosstrek, as well as enhancing its powertrain technology in gas engines. Pine Belt Subaru in Lakewood is excited for the future of design and quality of the Crosstrek.
